DJI Osmo Nano Teased with Modular Design and Confirmed Launch Date

Ana sayfa / News

DJI isn’t saying the name, but the teaser makes it clear: the Osmo Nano is next. This compact action cam is set to follow the Action 2’s modular playbook, and it’s finally getting a release date.

The Osmo Nano is DJI’s answer to ultra-portable action cams like the Insta360 Go 3S. And in a nod to the past, it’s reviving the modular design first seen in the Action 2. The leaked footage hints at a two-part setup that magnetically clicks into place, much like its 2021 predecessor.

DJI hasn’t confirmed specs just yet, but the Osmo Nano is shaping up to be more than a simple refresh. Unlike the monolithic form factor of the Osmo Action 4, this version emphasizes portability and flexibility, two things that made the Action 2 stand out, even with its flaws.

In its latest teaser, DJI shows a brief look at the Osmo Nano. Though the name isn’t spoken, the hardware silhouette and detachable modules are hard to miss.

DJI will hold its next launch event on Tuesday, September 23, at 12:00 UTC, just days after the Mini 5 Pro event. Pre-orders are expected to open shortly after the livestream wraps.

Here’s what we know about the DJI Osmo Nano so far:

While official pricing remains unannounced, leaks suggest a starting price of €369 (~$436) with 64 GB of internal storage. A second tier will reportedly double the storage to 128 GB for €399 (~$472). That would give DJI a slight edge in affordability versus some Insta360 models.

If true, the Osmo Nano could hit the sweet spot for creators who want flexibility without overcommitting to pro-tier setups.

What makes the Osmo Nano worth watching isn’t just its size; it’s the return of modular hardware. That setup gave Action 2 users hot-swappable features without bulking up the core unit. Now, DJI seems ready to polish that concept and take another swing at the format.

With launch day fast approaching, DJI’s small cam may once again change how creators capture big moments.
